Agreste means ’something good from the countryside’ in Italian, which we feel perfectly represents this beer. Aromas of dark and stone fruit lead to flavours of citrus, pear, and subtle Brett funk, finishing with a balance of bitter and sweet. Three yeast strains impart a delightful complexity making it ideal to enjoy now or cellar for later. Salute!

750ml bottle from the brewery. Bottle #22/1000. Pours a clear pale copper with a white head. Aroma is fruity and bretts. Similar taste with some caramel notes. Moderate to high carbo. Good one.

Light amber w a slight haze. Has a touch of brett on the nose, with a little bit of vaguely toasty amber malt character. Tart and bretty...nice character, with a touch of Blue/blackberry fruitiness. This might improve with a little more brett development but I like where it’s at today.

On tap at Luppolo, pours a hazy orange amber with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out rustic saison yeast and a slight earthy character. Flavour is fairly complex, with a nice oaky character, rustic saison yeast, and a subtle tartness that is well-situated. Dry, oaky and brings out the yeast very well. Nothing overly exciting, but this is brewed well. Very good.

Draught at the brewery
Beautiful amber color, hazy, bright. Initially I was put off by some yeast esters, but then an interesting character surfaces, more Belgian than American, light fruitiness, prunes, smooth mouthfeel, low bitterness, some astringency and tannins in the final.
From tap it’s refreshing, I don’t think I would like the bottle more than this.
Still not too exciting, but interesting.

Bottle - Lots of fruity funky brett notes. Clearish copper gold with a rich white head. Nice funky stone fruit and a nice clean finish. Surprisingly easy drinking and nice, but not all that complex.
