A heavy, copper colored, bittersweet and extreme hopped beer.
Extase is a Double IPA with a blend of fourteen excellent hops, very intense and with a balanced character. The slight sweetness of the malt sugars and the alcohol complement the bitterness of the beer. Extase does up to its name with its extreme hoppiness (over 100 IBU). A beer with stratification: because of the diversity of hops the beer tastes something differently with the gradual warming by every sip. A delight for every ‘hophead’.

Troebel licht oranje bier met veel schuim en koolzuur. Smaak is erg bitter hoppig en kruidig, gras , lichte citrus ondertoon en zwarte thee. Smaak blijft lang hangen. Erg goed en verrassend bier.

Bottle. Hazy dark golden with very big white head. Massive hops with mainly tropical fruits and citrus, but also some pine needles, strawberry and peach. Strong sweetness going into strong bitterness. Sweet malts, creamy, light spices. Medium to full bodied with creamy feel. Very nice!

Bomber. thanks 77ships for recommending this one. Stored upright after shipping for a few days but still cloudy yeast. 2 finger white head, nice lacing, it’s a dark brown cloudy. The nose is very faint. Ginger, light pine hops and a little oak. Taste is nice, bread-yeast, burnt sugar, raisin, some seaweed and sweet crystal malt finish. Citrus and tangerine as well. it’s nice.

Flaska ölföreningen 2014. Smak och doft av karamell, humle, malt, citrus, grapefrukt, torkad frukt och tropiska frukter. Lagom sötma, fruktig kropp, beska med smak av citrusskal och grapefrukt.

Bottle. Belgiuminabox. Very hazy amber. Thin, tight, sticky, off white head. Thick, sweet, orange toffee malts. Light, ginger spice. Hop character comes by way of fusty, ripe orange. Some thick resin. A little herbal, mintiness. It’s not busting with vibrancy, but it is very aromatic. Taste is chewy sweet. Turns bitter soon after. Rises and grows. Chewy mouthfeel. Easy drinking, though. Finishes long, lasting bitter, with a chewy, sweet end. Very tasty stuff.

Duft av citrus, honning og en anelse eik. Dunkel lys gulbrun farge. Tynn hinne skum, heng langs kant. Nydelig smak av citrufrukter, noe honning og en anelse appelsin i ettersmak.

Flaska från Beergium. Drucken precis på BBD. Lite trött humle men ändå riktigt fin. Citrusmarmelad, grape, tropisk frukt, fruktig belgisk jäst stöder upp smakerna bra. Välbalanserad och rena fina smaker. Mycket god.

660 bottle at home, 2nd October 14. This pours an elegant straw coloured, clean, clear beer, with a nice 2mm white head with lacing. Aroma is pleasant perfume, some Belgium yeast, and malt. The flavour is so balanced it’s incredible, not overly sweet, but enough, some bitterness in the finish, and a nice lingering complex flavour of bitter sweet fruit, grapefruit and pith, slight pine resin, perfect tickley bubbles. Excellent balanced DIPA

Bottle @ Voldby tasting. Gusher that pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of malt, light hops, sweet fruit, melon. Flavor is malt, yeast, stale hops, littl fruit. Medium body, average carbbonation, lasting bitter finish. A shame this was way past its prime.260914
