5 Golden Rings is the only golden ale in our 12 Days of Christmas Series. We spiced up the natural pause in the classic song with cinnamon, allspice and ginger along with the delicious sweet and tangy flavor of golden pineapple.

Orange-golden beer, clear, under a good yellowish head. Spicy, dry malts, perfumed, bit oppressive. Spicy, orangey(-peel) flavours. Sweet, with a fine sourish edge, balanced, but not really complex. Feels more carbonated than it looks. Very slick, alcoholwarming, bit burning MF, medium bodied at least. Overspice, over-all, as many’s the Bruery brews.

Amber golden colour, small white head. Aroma of bubblegum, rye bread, banana, pineapple and spices. Sweet flavour, alcoholic, rum soaked fruitcake. Very sweet! Sweet finish, fruitcake, light sour touch.
Expected more of this. Not really my thing.

Bottle shared by Joes @ ZZT VII. Clear golden color, virtually no head. Smell and taste malts, sweetness, some alcohol, sourish, spices or herbs. No this isn’t it. Don’t like it.

Tasted at ZZT 7 thanks to Joes. Pours clear dark golden with an off white head. Aroma of pepper, spices, rye, candy, fruits, banana and alcohol. Flavor is over moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with acidic pineapple building nastily. Medium bodied with light to moderate carbonation.

750mL bottle pours with a crystal clear deep gold body that has copper hues and supports an initially creamy metallic tan head that somehow dissipated into a loose head and then nothing in under a minute. The aroma offers up various Belgian yeasty spices as well as rich malt sweetened apple and plum and slightly over ripe nectarine. The taste begins smooth and sweet with loads of apple and apricot and peach honey coating fruity esters that meld at about midway into a pleasing nectar like quality. Then the yeasty spices and holiday fruit cake spice punch takes over only to head right into a bit of booziness. All in all this is working pretty well for me and I think another 10 to 12 months of age might see some further blending and melding of the flavors into something even more enjoyable than it is right now.

Drunk to celebrate my rating number 26,000. Bottled. A dark golden beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of fruits, alcohol, malt, and spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of brettanomyces, malt, wood, alcohol, spices, and alcohol, leading to a dry finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.
