Hot Take is our Zero IBU IPA. We threw a ton of hops into this beer but managed to keep the IBU at zero by adding all of the hops after the boil. That meant, two huge dry hoppings as well as lupulin powder added during the whirlpool and recirculated during the last dry hop. Doing this allows the beer to keep all of that big fruity hop flavour and aroma with out any of the bitter flavour.

Hazy blond color, dull hue, medium head. The aroma is very fruity, apricot jam, pineapple; nice, but couldn’t distinguish from the last 10 IPAs from BC (Twin Sails, Boombox etc). The mouthfeel is off dry; the malt base is ok, I wonder if they could have had better results with a more crisp base; the hop provides fruit jam, and the bitterness, although more than zero IBU, is quite low, hence the final is relatively short.
Good beer, and I appreciate the novelty, but it’s not balanced and potentially cloying.

500mL can, pours a cloudy dull orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out dank citrus hops, earthy notes, and bready caramel malt. Flavour is quite fruity, with juicy tropical fruits, some light resins, a little pine and bready caramel malt. Very little bitterness indeed. Juicy and well-structured, but nothing extraordinary.

Has that yeasty dull look. Yeasty, fruity hop nose...the usual pineapple, papaya stuff. On the palate, definitely not much bitterness, with a fruity tropical hop note. Soft malts, just a touch of yeastiness. So some light bitterness, and in general it’s a good, easy-drinking pale.

473ml can from the The Gull. Canned on 30-Dec-2016. Pours a hazy golden with a white head. Aroma stone fruits, slightly earthy. Taste is pretty the same with very low bitterness and some very slight boozy notes. Good stuff.

Can - Grapefruit, light metallic notes and pith. Hazy gold with a frothy white head. Citrus and a creaminess that is hard to describe, light grain notes and of course no bitterness. Interesting.
