Mooch tasting at Matt’s
Dark color, almost black, with brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, some glue, some cheese. Medium body strength, accent on roasted malts, some chocolate, some caramel in the background; nice, although I like more full bodied imperial stouts. Quite high bitterness.

Dark brown. Thin head. The aroma is pretty intense, some sort of rum barrel and black sugars, taps into a bit of alcohol as well. Super rich and burnt. Alcohol is hidden underneath some rich burnt sugars...ok, it does that one thing fairly well. Still hits with a shot of booze in the end. So a good, if simple, impy.

Bottle - Dark fudgy chocolate and some decent bitterness. Jet brown with a decent light brown head. Starts with lots of chocolate, but the huge and long bitter finish distract. If the bitterness was dialled back I would enjoy this more.

650mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out tons of fudge upfront, followed by roasted malt and dark cocoa. Flavour is extremely fudgy and sludgy, with loads of roasted malt, dry cocoa, and abrasive hops. Harsh, sludgy, abrasive and astringent. Despite being brutal, it's a decent sipper.
