750 mL bottle. Blend 3, 2009. Opened 4/5/11. Pours a hazy vibrant copper color with a medium sized tan creamy head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of tart citrus, some olive notes, spices, earthy notes, chocolate. The taste is tart with chocolate up front, cherries, nutty notes, spices, tart cranberry finish and something slightly earthy. Medium bodied. Nice beer.

750 ml bottle, blend 3, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7.5%. Hazy amber to brown colour, huge off-white head. Nice fruity aroma (esp. oranges), notes of cinnamon, I can’t single out the cocoa. Also hints of apples and farmhouse kitchen. The flavour is sourish and oaky, with fruity and spicy notes, distinct hops in the finish.

750ml bottle from Bierkompass
Blend 3, bottled 11-16-10 - Pours dark brown with a medium head. Aroma has hints of spices, exotic fruits and sourness. Taste is quite sour with notes of spices and fruits. Light bodied, nice balanced finish. Not really a belgian strong ale, reminds me more of a brown ale.

Apple core, cinnamon, and clove nose. Hazy copper, thick yellow head. Tart stewed apples initially, nothing dramatic. At midpalate, there’s a surge of peaches and cream. Finishes with vanilla. Alcohol is noticeable, but does not detract. Nice esour beer with a cute personality. I tasted not even the slightest trace of cacao, but that’s ok. It’s a good beer without it.

Bottled@Pikkulintu (batch #349)
Dark brown color, good steady creamy beige head, lace. Strong bretta nose with fruityness, some spices and mould. Flavor is similar: Bretta, earth-wood, fruityness, light spices. I would say - typical Jolly Pumpkin. I don’t trace cocoa.
