An old cracker found in the basement of the brewery Still a nice and tasty beer. Some oxidation though Dark pour and a fine head Fine intensity in the aroma. Balanced sweetness and a fine carbonation level. Bready, fruity, herbal and some spices in the flavor [Bottle @ source]

33cl bottle from Abeervinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours dark brown, kind of plum, with light brown foam, very fine. Aroma is a little roasty, malty, caramel, figs.Body is pretty dense with low carbonation and a little stickiness. Taste is medium-high sweet, with a nice roasty bitterness. Final is pretty long and elegantly roasty.

Bottle at home. Pours dark brown with beige head. Aroma of caramel, dark dried fruits, dark bread, notes of chocolate, some ethanol. Tastes bitter with quite some sweetness. Medium bodied, alcoholic warmth and sharpness, bitter finish.

330ml bottle, batch 1642, beer gift from Esben. Patchy beige head, near clear, dark red-brown body. Clingy lacing. Aroma of dark caramel, woody. Brown malty flavours supported by molasses, wood, and a drop of blackcurrant . Mid-dry, warming, lingering end. Well bodied. Appreciated. (Shared at a session with Finn and djoeye, Tromsø 31.01.2018).

Bottle. It's dark brown in the glass, with a small beige head. Some lacing. The aroma is quite intense, not very alcoholic, with some roasted malts, a licorice hint, molasses, wood and spicy, piney notes. Some nutty hints.too. It's full-bodied and smooth on the palate, with a little alcohol warmth and some bitterness. Sweet, but not too sweet. Roasted malts, caramel, molasses, spiced, piney notes and a nutty touch in the flavor. Quite woody, more cypress than oak. Lasting roasted, spiced, woody finish with a good warmth. A really pleasant one indeed, rich and tasteful and with a close to perfect warming feeling. 171224
