On the third night, I handed my sweetie a tall slender Pilsner. Perfectly poured. While holding it up and gazing either at it, or through it at me, she said softly, “you are so fine to me.” It was hard to tell if she meant to be heard. “Ambiguity, thy Name is Woman”, I nearly uttered. Whether she was speaking to me, or to the beer, it was merely semantics. The deal was sealed. I would make it my life”s work to make fine beer.

Can at our friends Don & Lee Ann's place in Victoria (Vancouver Island) on 12th August 2025. Clean and clear light golden body, bright and lively; on top a snow white crust for a few minutes. Dry and refreshing, crisp and almost 'sharp' in nature.

473ml can. Pours a clear gold with a small, foamy, long lasting, white head that laces. Mild aroma of grainy pale malt and grassy hops. Sweet flavour of grainy pale malt, lemon, honey and grassy hops in a crisp, dry, mild bitter finish. Light body with a watery texture and average carbonation. Pretty solid Pilsner.

Poured from the tap. Clear gold with small white head. Grain and cereal malt with feint hint of grass hops.

On tap @ 10 acres Bistro, Victoria Canada. Dorada limpia, con poca espuma. Aroma de notas cítricas. Paso muy fácil, ligera, seca con buen punto de amargor. Cereal y cítrica. Refrescante y agradable.

Darby’s: pours clear gokd with a white head. Aroma is light grass and bread. Easy drinking and inoffensive lager. Not much to say.

Bottle - Light sweet grains and cereal. Clear gold with a decent white head. Touch of grains, cereal and a little dust with a clean finish. OK.

Brassy colour. Thin head. Sweet malts are amber biscuity. Hops understated, and all told lacks the crispness or complexity I would prefer.

Poured sooper chillazed it’s got a modest head n gold bawdy. Lots of lager aroma, typial, pffft, but not disgusting nor unexpected. Flavour is modest hops, smooth malt finish, very pilsner-y and not too sharp on the finish. Drinkable, forgettable. Fuggedabootit, eh?

Bottle. Light hazy golden, white lace. Slightly mealy chewy malt base, good classic hops, a hint fruitiness. Very pleasant, a bit closer to an Export than a pils but nice.
