Bottle, sitting in the fridge since last October. Beershine picked hops for this one. Dark red-brown, thin head. Earthy hops, malts slightly toffeeish. Those malts - toffee and brown sugar - are all over the palate. Hops are mellow, bit woody, good balance, drinkable, hops are bright and earthy, never chewy, though as typical for fresh hop beers they don’t express strongly.

Draft - Dark malty toffee notes. Deep Amber with a small white head. Dark malty sweetness and an herbal minty hop note. Not the right beer to showcase hops.

Draught at 12 Kings, Vancouver
Dark amber color, cloudy. The aroma is mild, it’s dusty and with traces of vegetables; the body is robust, it has moderate sweetness, the flavor is mainly nutty caramel, with vegetable traces and some hop resins in the final.
Not the best way to showcase fresh hops apparently.

On tap at 12 Kings, pours a cloudy dull dark amber with a large beige head. Aroma brings out fresh doughy malt and subdued fresh hops. Flavour is a lot more robust, with lots of fresh resinous hops, a little pine, doughy malt and caramel. Creamy palate, leaving a finish of all the aforementioned elements in good harmony. Nicely made.
