750 mL bottle poured at Chainline, Kirkland, and split with the nacho crew. Finally trying this beer, way later than I expected to. Dark copper brown pour with a thin, patchy head. Soft bourbon, toffee and chocolate aroma. Caramel, chocolate, slight coffee, nice bourbon barrel addition. Smooth and tasty. Maybe a little aging did this well. Very nice beer.

Bottle from Elizabeth Station, Bellingham; vintage 2016
Black color, large head (too much?). Mild aroma of wood and oak. Lean body, much weaker than expected, roasted malts, a bit of chocolate, lightly earthy, some oak, and fairly boozy.
Chaotic.

Bottle - Soured dark roast and cocoa. Deep brown with a frothy light brown head. Light soured dark malts and some effervescent sweetness. A little off I think.

750mL bottle, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out light dark fruitiness, toasted malt, and a little bourbon. Flavour is rather thin on the barrels, with toasted bready malt, some light oak, and toasted caramel. Could use some more barrels, as the body is rather thin. It's balanced well and quite pleasant overall, but lacking in body and complexity. Decent.

Dark brown. Medium, bubbly head. The aroma is a bit toasty, nutty. On the palate, it’s a bit thin, and ultimately it misses a fair bit because there is not a whole lot of body, so residual sugars are lacking, and without those none of the imperial porter or bourbon barrel characteristics are going to come through. Disappointing.

750 ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with moderate head. Aromas of bourbon, oak, roasted malts/barley and salty nuts. Flavors of same with bourbon being subtle; plus additional notes of raisins and bread crusts. Mellow and a little thin, but nice.
