The one that started it all. This Belgian wit was the first beer to ever come out of our kettles as brewing professionals. Despite it being a ‘safe’ and logical choice for a beginning brewer, Struise Witte is anything but boring.

With big notes of wheat and citrus, this beer provides you with a refreshing drinking experience.

Pajiza. Dos dedos de espuma. Muy burbujeante. Aroma a sidra y limon. Sabe como huele, poco agradable. Muy carbónica. No me gusta. Desentona en una familia de cervezas de alta calidad.

330ml bottle from Vanuxeem. Pours hazy orange with off-white head. Don’t really associate Struise with wit beers but this is exceedingly nice. A big sweet wheaty taste with spiced bubblegum notes. Refreshing stuff.

Bottle. Light hazy straw with white head. Some yogurt, lemon icecream, dough, lemon cakes, slight musty, saw dust. Light sweet with tart finish. Medium bodied with slick creamy feel. Nice stuff! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

One of the three very first beers from this renowned brewery (along with Struise Rosse and Kloeke Blonde). From a 50 cl bottle, tasted at De Hopduvel café in Ghent when it was still open, I guess some ten years ago, this was my first encounter with the Struise Brouwers. Very thick, rocky, creamy, irregular, stable head; hazy golden blonde colour. Malty and wheaty aroma with green apple, citrus peel, iron and subtle coriander; malt sweet taste, soft and smooth mouthfeel, dried citrus and light coriander, very refreshing, yeasty, with low hop bitterness in the finish. In all a typical Belgian witbier, but artisanal and very well crafted, a very early (and still weak) echo of the works of art this brewery would later produce.

0.33l bottle. Hazy orange body, thin white head. Aroma of peach, berries, cloves and yeast. Taste of peach, lemon juice, bread and cloves. Not bad, but it’s not going to be my favourite wit.
