Poured from the tap. Cloudy purpley red with pinkish white head. Berry and a bit of lactose, mild tartness and sweetness. Decent blend.

Good deep cherry body and some modest head on top. Semi sour aroma of mashed fermented fruit, which is nice. Flavour is great mashed berries and fermented fruit funk with sour notes and a bitter finish. Good mouthfeel. This is what a good fruit sour tastes like, at least to me.

Bottle: Poured a deep bright reddish color ale with a medium size foamy head with OIK retention and some light lacing. Aroma of tart notes with light funky notes and huge flavours of boysenberry is quite a treat. Taste is a great mix between some light funky notes with plenty of boysenberry notes, light acidic notes with light residual sugar notes. Body is full with good carbonation. Not totally well-balanced but still quite enjoyable tart fruit beer.

Purple, cloudy, thin head. Nice berry aroma, showing hints of tartness. Mellow tartness, lots of fruit, light diacetyl and butyric...don’t let this warm up. Isn’t super clean. Not much body, but it has a good balance between fruit and sweetness.

Draft - Sweet red berry. Cloudy red with a decent white head. Loght acidity and red berry notes. A bit juice like, but the acidity elevates it nicely.

Draught at Darby’s Gastown, Vancouver; 6.5% ABV
Purple color, murky, with pink head. A true fruit beer, it has a strong berry character, mild tannins, moderate acidity, and very low sweetness. Feeling of forest wild berries.
Very good.

On tap at Darby’s Gastown with Jonny. Pours an opaque purple with a rose head. Aroma and tart taste are fermented berries and some lacto. Good stuff.

On tap at GCBF 2016, pours a cloudy dark ruby red / pink with a small white head. Aroma brings out loads of pithy boysenberries, with light sweetness and some lacto. Flavour is similar, but much more tart, with tons of fresh potent boysenberries, medium tartness and maybe a hint of sweetness underneath. Lots of lacto buried contributing sourness. Fairly complex and well-balanced. Very good.
