650ml bottle (thx, Peter K.!). Pours an almosy black with a beige head. Aroma is leather, fruity and roasted malt. Taste is chocolaty, roasted malt, fruity, leather. Good stuff.

Black licorice and creamy espresso are in the flavor. Bitter edge to the flavor yet body retains a certain smoothness

Tasting at Matt’s
Black color, frothy beige head. Dark bread aroma, some rye, chocolate, light liquorice. Nice rye bread flavor, lean body, moderately sweet, with roasted nuts.
Very good.

650mL bottle, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of cocoa upfront, followed by oats, and light-medium roast. Flavour is wonderfully balanced, with dry cocoa, medium roast, and a touch of vanilla. Medium-bodied, with a nice chocolatey quality on the finish. Lightly sweet, with medium roast. Very good.

Dark brown. Thin head. The aroma is mostly chocolatey, with a light bit of alcohol, and some fruitiness. Sweet, lots of fruitiness, brown sugar. Decent body. Soft. This has a pretty good character. I prefer that the fruitiness drops off, despite the fact that the palate is simpler for it.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a nice large brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt with black chocolate and light liquorice notes is quite enjoyable. Taste is also a solid mix between some roasted malt with some black chocolate, light dry bitter notes with hints of liquorice. Body is slightly below average with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Not really standing out form the crowded market of imperial stout but still well brewed and quite enjoyable.
