Brownish medium gold body and just a little foam. Soft sweet ginger aroma with soda pop style grapefruit notes. Flavour is bitter grapefruit juice, grapefruit skin. Puckerish in the wrong way. Okay oiliness on the mouth. Good grapefruit notes but it's unbalanced and hard to drink.

650 ml bottle. Pours a dull copper with light head. Aromas of biscuity malts and odd fruit. Flavor of wet malts, and acidic bitter grapefruit. Homebrew.

Draft - Grapefruit, orange and nice citrus aromatics. McLean gold with a nice white head. Bitter grapefruit, peel and a sweet bitterness that might be cactus. Long sweet biscuit and bitter finish.

Bottle from BC Liquors
Amber color, clean, with large bubbles. The malt has a precise caramel character, that wouldn’t be a choice in modern times; moderate residual sweetness; it has a strong citrus fruit peel character (grapefruit, orange, cedar), but this contributes to a feeling of dish product. It worked well with my food.
Not a bad beer, but a bit weird. I’d like to see one version with paler malts and more citrusy hops.

On tap at VCBW Festival 2016, pours a cloudy orange amber it's a medium off-white head. Aroma brings out a lot of grapefruit notes and citrus hops. Flavour is extremely grapefruity with a pretty high ascorbic astringency. Don't really get any cactus, just heaps of grapefruit pithiness. Meh.
