The Westcoast IPA is made from a combination of Crystal malts and Pilsner malts to bring out body and mouthfeel plus its brilliant orange colour. For any IPA, the hop bill is the most important aspect and in our IPA we utilise a mix of 6 hops. We use Nugget and Centennial for bittering, Cascade and Falconer’s Flight for flavour with Ahtanum and Zythos for aroma. Once fermentation is nearly complete, we dry hop with a mix of Zythos, Falconer’s Flight, Cascade and Ahtanum. Together they impart a beautiful bouquet of citrus, grapefruit and tropical fruit with a slight hint of pine.

Smells of good bright hops and sharp maltiness, has nice creamy foam on a soft coppery body. Flavour is bright and deep hoppy malts, some strong caramel. Mouthfeel is full and there's great oiliness. Very nice.

On tap. Pours a clear orange-amber with a medium, creamy, long lasting, off-white head that leaves curtains of lace. Aroma of biscuit malt, caramel, orange, grapefruit rind and piney hops. Sweet flavour of grainy malt, caramel, grapefruit pith, indistinct tropical fruit and pine resin with a dry, bitter, grassy hop finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Decent.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a clear copper with a small beige head. Aroma brings out notes of piney hops, some resin, and biscuity malt. Flavour is very resinous and woody in the hop department, with a slight vegetal quality and an astringent finish. Not the best IPA out there, but it's okay.

Draught at Pumphouse, Richmond, 16oz
Hazy dark amber color with creamy head, nice lace. Dry caramel brew, smooth, fresh, with a mild citrusy touch, and some hop resins (Cascade), but it could have some more quality. A bit old school, not bad.
