3 Fonteinen Oude Geuze Golden Blend is a blend of one-, two-, three-and at least 25% four-year old lambics. Spontaneous fermentation, patient maturation in oak barrels, and continued evolution in the bottle result in a distinctively complex beer.
No two bottlings are alike, as there are multiple variables in the blending process, a variety of barrel sizes and shapes, differences in aged lambic proportions, etc. When cellared properly, 3 Fonteinen Golden Blend can be aged for several decades. Traditional lambic is living, cultural heritage rooted in the Zenne valley! Bottle fermented, unfiltered and unpasteurised.

0,75l bottle at home. Bottled 30.11.2017. dark yellow clear color, small white head. smells funky, oak, cheesy, hay, peppery, wow, lovely smell. full body, soft carbonation. tastes funky, oak, grassy, earthy, herbal, peppery, tobacco, some sherry notes. finishes lightly dry and lightly sour with notes of funk, oak and sherry notes. wow, just lovely, great complexity. wish I had another bottle.

From 75cl bottle @Pien Brewpub. Labeled: 3 Fonteinen Oude Geuze Golden Blend (season 18 - 19) Blend No. 91. Poured golden with a red haze. Rhubarb, tartness, mild funky nose. Later some wild strawberry notes in flavor. Sweeter than I expected, but delicious still.
