Heaven-sent by arrow or lightning bolt, “Love at First Sight” is thought to be a madness inflicted upon unsuspecting beings by the gods for sport. Others believe it’s that moment of recognition when one first looks upon their other half. Either way, the poor souls didn’t know what hit them. Aged for over a year in our good litre oak foudre, this fruity, complex ale is our tribute to the love struck.

Medium low tartness, but still noticeably sour. Cleanly made, nice a low bitterness. A pleasant intro to sours for most probably. Worth the try for sure. Bottle from lb

At the source: pours amberish copper with a white head. Aroma is wood, cherry, some vinegar. Taste is fairly sour. Not too sweet. Not too much on the aftrertaste. Fairly respectable.

Hazy, amber, thin head. Pretty, soft brown malts and a touch of balsamic. Tart, balanced, and has some acidic liveliness. Good sweetness, quite woody.

Draft - Sweet ketchup like notes and sour notes. Cloudy copper with a decent white head. Loght soured caramel malts and light finish. Simple, but nice.

Gushing bottle. Cloudy Amber color, dull, with no head. The aroma is mild but nice, woody, a bit sour, tones of moldy cellar, fruity esters. The carbonation is low, enough malt backbone, nice sour character, hints of vinegar, fruity, a bit cheesy.
Not the cleanest sour, but good.

Murky orange-brown color, small head. Dusty and yeasty aroma. It’s a soup of yeast, apricots, vegetables; moderately sour.
Not bad, but to me it’s kind of a pointless mess.

2016-05-30. On the 10th anniversary of Alibi Room. Pours a cloudy golden with a weak white head. Aroma is sweet, sour, spices, some wild yeasts. Taste is slightly sour, with wild yeasts notes.

2017-03-17. 750ml bottle from The Gull. Much better than on tap at Alibi. Murky amber, white head. Sour and fruity with bready notes. Quite pleasant.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a filthy orange with a small white head. Aroma smells like cheerios, acidic notes, and earthiness - uh oh. Flavour is very cerealy, with cheerios upfront, some earthiness and light tartness. Tastes like they don't know what they're doing. Inoffensive but not impressive.
