Dark mahogany under a large foamy khaki coloured head leaving patchy lace. Lots of roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate, citrus and tropical fruit with a light vanilla. Light sweet molasses with a big bitterness from coffee, dark chocolate, and citrus. Little bit of pepper from the rye is almost lost amongst the other big flavours but adds some additional character. Mouth is medium+ and slick with average carbonation and a long lingering bitter finish. 8+/4/8/4/16

Bomber bottle founds in Albeerta somewhere, working on my rye obsession ats the moment. Very good bright brown head of decent solidity and carbonated black body. Hoppy grapefruit and lemon aroma, sweet and fruity like an IPA. Flavour is a fine hop mix with just a dash of oak and grain to balance it out. This one is a knock out of the park and really good stuff.

Draft - Lots of roast and big pine. Jet brown with a rich brown head. Lots of roast, nice pine and a aggressively bitter. Really well done.

On tap at Alibi Room. Sweety, dark fruits aroma and taste with some hoppy bitterness. But character of this beer in the aftertaste with hoppy and burnt malt bitterness. Really good aftertaste for black IPA.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a deep dark brown / near-black with a reddish hue and a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of roasted malt, earthy notes and pronounced hopping amidst all that. Flavour is robust and complex, with roasted malt, lots of dark fruits, earthy notes and of course lots of hops. Quite harmonious and not abrasive at all. Well-constructed and very enjoyable.

Bottle, Legacy. Dark brown with a very big head. Very assertive hop nose with a fair bit of chocolate as well, not much rye. A bit thin, with hearty bitterness. Light chocolate but without much nuance.

Dark brown color with compact head. This one as well is poured quite warm, but in this case it’s a good way to enhance the rye character; roasty aroma, hops, good body strength, dark caramels and chocolate too blend in the flavor, and correctly the hopping is very resiny.
Excellent.

Black color with compact beige head. Strong aroma of roasted malts, some coffee, resiny hops. Strong body, round mouthfeel, smooth; lots of coffee flavor, and loads of resiny hops.
This is a bold hopped thick coffee with alcohol! Excellent.

Dark brown color, almost black, with compact head. Very nice aroma; it’s a cup of coffee, with piney hop resins, light hop sweat, and impression of chocolate. Smooth and full bodied; plenty of chocolate and roasted malt, and very resiny bitterness, a bit orangey too; coffeish final. Moderately sweet.
Powerful, but also with some original traits.

On Tap at Alibi Room. Pitch black with a light beige filmy head. It has a solid herbal/floral hop bouquet with decent roast coffee notes. The mouthfeel is rough & sharp. The taste is roasted malts, coffee a dash of cocoa or caramel and then a solid helping of floral and herbal hoppy goodness. A bit rough but nice, a solid black IPA.
