Sample at Craft Tap House. This beer pours a clear mahogany color with a medium thin light beige head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Short strings of lace. Malt, hops and fruit in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of roasted malt, earthy hops and fruit. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.

On Saturday 21st May 2016 I visited Pizza Port’s San Clemente brewpub and had two flights of four beers, this was on the first one. A British style Dark Mild? I had to try it, mid-amber bodied with a white head, it looked OK. Light malts in the nose and taste, hints of a fruit bowl within the flavour, along side the malty, bready base. Decent and pleased to see a Mild on draft in California.

Draft - Light caramel and roast. Clear Amber with a decent white head. Light toast and some dark fruit. Tastes nice but ABV is too high.
