What Cheer House was the name of a saloon in Derby that was dismantled and rebuilt just outside the palisades of Fort Langley in 1860. It was renamed BC Liquor Company but we think What Cheer is a much better way to describe a great place for social gathering and a perfect name for this beer.

Intriguing and complex, this straw colored beer features aromas of mango, guava and orange. Brewed using specialty malts and a cornucopia of hops, it’s fermented with the Brettanomyces Bruxellensis wild yeast strain. Funky and fruity, this unique beer will delight your senses and leave your palate refreshed.

Hazy light amber. Light brett and some mellow biscuity malts. Earthy bitterness, alcohol in finish; needs more brett.

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Hazy to cloudy light amber color, dull. The aroma is a bit dank. The mouthfeel is lean, dry, not weak; some simple malt and caramel flavor, but mostly too much vegetables notes, and the hop resins create a strong astringency in the final.
Chaotic idea, not well executed either.
Not very pleasant.

On tap at Trading Post, pours a cloudy opaque golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out farmhouse funk, tropical stone fruits and some citrus hops. Flavour is well-integrated, with citrus hops, lots of farmhouse funk and stone fruits. It has a good balance between the funk from the brett, the fruitiness and astringency from the hops. Very good.

On tap. Pours a clear amber/gold with full head. Aromas of sharp tropical fruit and yellow plums with a little Brett in the background. Flavors of pine and tropical fruit/pineapple, with a slight tartness. Clean. Nice
