Tap @ Malmö Brygghus Hamnmästaren. Almost black with a small off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and moderate peated smoke. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 240713

Aroma is smoky with tar, some salty licorice and hints of ash. Flavour is rather smoky with woody notes, some licorice and ash. A bit sticky palate. Very good!

On tap @ In De Wildeman. Murky, dark brown color. Dense beige head. Aroma: leather, and that’s pretty much the whole smell. Retronasal there’s more to it, smoke, sweet chocolate, hint of lactose (?). Flavor is medium to heavy sweet with leather & smoke. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. Finishes with leather, roast & bitter

On tap at Borefts 2012, Bodegraven. Pours a mostly clear, bright ruby with a creamy, white head. Big smokey malt nose with some ham and berries. Big sweet flavor with heavy smoke, light dirt, toasty bread, brown sugar. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sturdy sweetness to finish with strong smoke, toasty brown sugar, light ash. It’s a big, fairly sweet rauchbier, but the overall character is really nice.

Draft @ Borefts 2012. Black with a nicely lacing white head. Nose is a very heavy medicinal peat, hospitals can clean their instruments with this type of stuff, very well-done and clear, enough to scare away those who are not into this kind of stuff at the table with some smoke and what I assume is juniper blended in, lots of smoked whiskey malts. Taste is clean, sharp, easy to drink sharp medicinal smoked whiskey malts blended with some nice caramel sweetness as well, sweeter sea whiskey, some syrup, medicinal sweetness, heavy herb, what I assume is juniper is. Lightly oily body, easy to drink, wonderfully well=done stuff.

Smakprov på CBC 2014. Drack nu denna rököl i ny tappning på fat. Smak och doft av läder, tjära, torv, rök, chaukterier och aska. Mycket gott, välbalanserad och fina smaker. 4,2p Tycker om rököl överlag och denna var en trevlig överraskning. Mycket rök både när det gäller doft och smak, välbalanserad. En aning vanilj, chaukterier och trä i smaken. 3,6

Draught.Dark copper colour with medium white head.Aroma is smoked of bacon and fruity of dried berrys,malty slight rosted with malty roted mouthfeels and dusty finish.
