Opaque dark brown beer, tidy tan head. Palate is dry and has a fine minerally crispness. Dry mellow dark malts, light roast and dark chocolate. Decent pine hops and mild hop spice. Trace of something tropical . Mild bitter linger. Pretty drinkable.

Bottle shared during RBWG 291). Pours deep brown with a creamy tan head. The nose has good and juicy burnt pine, cocoa, orange, grapefruit. Medium sweet flavor flavor with ashy roast, baking cocoa, rindy orange. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Burnt wood on the finish, bitter chocolate, orange rind, grapefruit. Good stuff.

Bottle split in the hotel lobby, 03/02/16. Light black with a well appointed beige head. Nose is light charr, pine, red berry linger, dusty hops. Taste comprises leafy hop, light spice, pine needle, charr, cocoa rub, dank strokes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close peppered with earthy hop bitterness. Solid enough CDA.

Bomber from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours dark brown with a creamy tan head. Aroma is pine/resin over possibly chocolaty malt. Med + body. Flavor is pine/resin forward. Really overwhelms the malt. Chocolate with perhaps an anise touch is next. Then back to pine/resin, and maybe some citrus/fruit. Quite strong in flavor - almost a one note. Finishes well to the bitter side. Good stuff.
