We call this an "American" farmhouse ale because it contains mostly American ingredients and is fermented with French saison yeast. A very dry complex flavor with yeast character that is fruity and slightly spicy. We use citrus hop varieties for even more fruitiness and dry hop it to perfection. With it’s 9% abv and ease of drinkabilty, people have said this beer is "dangerous", so that’s what we called it...in French.

12 oz. bottle. Aroma is straw, wet grain, funky yeast. Flavor is a near mess. Wheaty, yeasty. Too much booze. The alcohol throws off the yeast and grain flavors that are here. Not many true “saisons” coming in a 9%. Mouthfeel is off. I have to pass on this one.

Bottle share. Extremely pale golden body, spotty head. Aroma is yeast and cheese. Taste tries hard to find the Saison zone, and misses. Sour notes ruin it.

It seems sledutah really want me to be one od the top raters of 2 Row Brewing well challenge excepted. Orange pour smallish head. Nose is quite yeasty and dried fruits. Tastes of Belgian yeast, orange peel, pineapple, champagne, and plenty of hooch. Almost reminds me of a sake for some reason. Pleasant.

[1/30/16] Bottle sample at the Encomium bottle share, after RateBeer Best awards ceremony at Hyatt Vineyard Creek Hotel in Santa Rosa. Thanks everyone who shared bottles! Hazy yellow. Overripe fruity hoppy aroma with spiciness, fruits, yeast. Flavor as yeast, light tartness, fruity hops, bitterish finish.

Bottle shared during RBWG 2016. Pours mostly clear yellow-gold with a frothy white head. Plenty of saison yeast in the nose, some doughy white bread, hay. Medium sweet flavor with more yeast, doughy bread, lemon meringue pie, straw. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish, sweet, with lingering dough bread, yeast, mild citrus. Not bad.
