Color negro con leve espuma de color beige de duración corta. Aroma a malstas asadas, chocolate, frutos secos. Sabor ligeramente dulce, tostado, algo de ragaliz, cacao, frutos secos y ciruelas pasas. Final también algo dulce, muy leve, tostado y sin apenas sensación alcohólica. Muy buena.

Can shared in the Brussels Airbnb. Thanks to Wingman Dave for this one. A dark brown coloured pour with a frothy tan head. Aroma is dried fruit, nutty, hazel nut, jammy, brown sugars,. Flavour is composed of medium sweet, nutty, dired fruit, raisin, cakey, layered malts. Palate is medium sweet, light tang, highish carbonation. Warming alcohol.

440ml can, 2017 vintage. Pours jet black with a big tan head. Aroma of roast malts, liquorice, plum, dark chocolate. Taste follows, dark roasty malts, liquorice, chocolate, brown sugar, vinous, dried fruits, a bit too sweet overall. Full bodied, smooth, fine carbonation.

33 cl bottle vintage 2017 @ Kissasauna. Aroma has liquor, licorice and winous tones. Flavour has bourbon, woody notes, licorice and alcohol. Quite typical bourbon-IS.

Can from Mother Kellys, 9th June 18. Pours a black beer, less thick than expected. Aroma is caramel, marmite, roasted malt. Taste is smooth, quite sweet, caramel, roasted notes, cola. The body is thinner than I expected and less decadent than I imagined, it's also too sweet.

Keg at Brewdog Shepherds Bush, London. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a healthy beige head on top. Rich, roasty, malty, coffee aroma. Tastes rich, roasty, malty, coffee, chocolate, some treacle, very sweet and thick. Very nice.

Keg at BD Mighty Boost, 01/02/18. Light black with a decent tan cap. Nose is roast malts, chocolate, light coffee, dark malts, brown sugars. Taste comprises molasses, brown sugar, toffee fudge, chocolate, mellow roast, light charr, dried fruits. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a rising boost. Solid well balanced impy stout.
