Good dark brown body and modest foam. Soft coffee aroma, slight hops, carbonated biscuit. Flavour is chewy barley, cocoa, sadly all too wet showing its macro tendencies. Should be thicker and sharper. Drinkable but forgettable.

Poured from the tap. Dark brown with tan head. Coffee, light toast, lactose, very boring.

650ml bottle. Pours an opaque black with a medium, creamy, long lasting, brown head that leaves curtains of lace. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate and caramel. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, dark chocolate, licorice, caramel, lactose and ash with a dry, bitter coffee finish. Medium body, with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Not bad.

Dark brown with a bubbly head. Aroma is more toasty than anything else, has a full body but a thin graininess. Light roast, touch of hoppy bitterness.

650 ml bottle. Pours black with full off white head. Aromas of soapy coffee grounds and roasted malts. Flavors of black coffee and dry roasted malts. Clean and simple. Nothing wrong here but nothing to write home about either.

A lot of bread and coffee in the aroma. The body is very light. Roasted malt in the taste. That’s it. Aroma is good, but the taste is poor.

Bottle - Coffee notes and a touch of cocoa. Deep brown and a small brown head. Light malty and coffee notes. A bit boring, coffee could be better.

Tasting at Matt’s
Dark brown color, medium sized head. Delicate aroma of roasted malts and dark bread. Not too dry, pleasant roasted notes, a lot of bread crust, and a hint of chocolate in the end. Pleasant.

650mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of brings out a good mix of coffee and lactose. Flavour is along the same lines, with fairly rich coffee upfront, followed by a good lactose infusion. Balanced well, with a medium body. Finishes rather roasty. Nice stuff.
