650ml bottle from Central City LRS shared with Ilya. Vintage 2015. Appearance: murky copper with a huge beige head. Aroma: dark sweet fruits, caramel. Taste: similar, with quite high hoppy bitterness. Overall: good American bw. 848415=39 25-06-2019 650ml bottle from Central City LRS shared with Andrey. Brewed on May 2014. Appearance: murky copper with a huge beige head. Aroma: Brett, hops, I suppose this one was infected. However, it works well in the aroma. When it is warming up - flowers, wine barrel. Taste: similar, with quite high hoppy bitterness coming from both Brett and hops. Overall: despite it's definitely infected, it worked well over years, can't be treated as a barleywine, though. 838415=38

Amber, haze, just a bit of bubble. Nice orchard fruits. Light cherries and sugars, just a touch of wood. Has some burly tannins on the palate, vinous softness, all kinds of alcohol. Solid brew. The tannins do lend it a certain harshness.

65o ml bottle. Pours a mahogany color with moderate foamy head that dissipates quickly. Aromas of the grocery store produce section, edging towards citrus. Flavors of wet toasted malts with definite oak and vinous notes. Different...

Draft - Sweet caramel and toffee notes. Cloudy copper with a decent white head.toffee, Woody and slight burnt notes with some booze. Booze isn’t well integrated, could use some time to mellow.

Poured into my fancy little mini-stout glass. Has a very nice meringue head and clear copper body. Aroma of Belgian yeast mixed with hop notes and hints of malt, very nice. Flavour is a unique mix of barley spice and malt, lots of abbey quadrupel character. I really liked this one, it’s a much better brew than the last one I tried from this brewery. Sampled at 14.1 degrees celcius.

Poured from 650mL bottle. Clear, orangey brown with off white head. Aroma of toffee, hops and vanilla with strong hints of red wine. Caramel with slights nuts and mild nuts. Noticeable alcohol.

On tap at Bomber, pours a clear amber orange with a small beige head. Aroma brings out loads of caramel, very subtle notice of the red wine, and lots of alcohol. Flavour is fairly hot but not detractingly so, with notes of caramel, alcohol and light wood. The caramel steals the show, yet there isn't really any sweetness to offer. Listed as 10%, but really 12.5%, the ABV is certainly noticeable. As fiulijn stated, it's more of a miscellaneous strong ale than a barley wine and I might have missed the barrels if I hadn't known this was barrel aged. All in all, good stuff.

2017-12-17, draught at Parallel 49, Vancouver, 7-4-7-4-15=
Hazy dark amber color. The alcohol is a bit too strong, the sweetness is moderate, the fresh red wine is evident too, almost like a mix rather than a subtle barrel blend, a bit burning; the base Barley Wine is too weak for this. So overall you get a good beer but messy. I enjoyed this one though, maybe because not cloying.

Dark amber color, small head. Light aroma of nuts, vanilla, toffee. The flavor is caramel based, not enough malt and sweetness to be considered a proper Barley Wine, overattenuated, but it's nevertheless a good Strong Ale; the alcohol is also quite evident, warming (it's rumored to be stronger than 10%); the final too is nutty; bold bitterness; strangely, the wine barrel is not evident.
Very good.
