Draft sample @ Birra Expo’14 Piacenza. Superbe.

Nose is great. Floral and honey forward. Taste is very dank, resinous. Bitter. Rough finish. Wish taste was as good as nose.

Bottle at Mallaskukko. Slightly hazy orange color, small white head. Aroma is intensive: citrus, gooseberry and mango. Medium-bodied to full-bodied. Grapefruity, mango fruityness. Intensive with long lingering bitterness. Warming alcohol. But drinkability is quite good.

(Bottle) Golden amber colour, slightly hazy, with frothy off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with orange marmalade, apricots, caramel, passion-fruit, grapefruit and generous aromas of resinous, citric hops. Malty, fruity, hoppy taste with notes of orange marmalade, pink grapefruit, passion-fruit, apricots, caramel and a solid citric, resinous bitterness in a finish with a slight alcohol bite. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness coming through. Quite bitter with an impressive hop presence backed up by a solid malt profile. Possibly not the most balanced beer I’ve tried, but very nice.

0,5L bottle, BB 12.2015. Pours hazy golden-amber with white head. The head stays. Aroma is sweet, berries, pine, caramel, and buttery. Taste is sweet, caramel, pine, and grapefruit hoppy. Finish is buttery pine bitter. Alcohol is well hidden, rather light for the ABV. Overall: very nice DIPA. --- Beer merged from original tick of Gluttony (The Sinner Series) on 01 Sep 2017 at 14:32
