Tasting at Matt’s; corked
Dark brown color, small to no head. Along with the dark caramel, there is some glue in the aroma. Lean body, a bit boozy which explains why the sweetness level is moderate; dark caramel flavor, with hints of toffee, molasses, and some oak; boozy final.
A bit over the top, not too exciting, but still quite good.

Medium brown. Light toffee aroma and a bit of roast. Has a fairly light body, light toffee taste, with a very mellow barrel toastiness and a dash of vanilla.

750mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out nice bourbon barrel notes upfront, with some booze and wood in there -- not much else. Flavour is similar, with loads of bourbon barrels upfront, with notes of vanilla and oats. This is about on par with the whiskey version. Complex and wonderfully integrated barrel aging. Excellent.
