Clear amber golden colour, white head. Aroma of citrus, bread, brett, pediococcus, barnyard, hint of smoky rubber notes. Light tart, sour flavour, gooseberries, lemon zest, citrus, hint of sweet esters. Finish wood, tart, lots of citrus, lovely brett. Lingering. I’m truly impressed, it’s such an utterly brilliant beer, very flavourful while still managing to feel light. Thanks for the bottle from the contest, Armand!

Hazy amber, creamy white head. Tart, but not over powering nose, with straw, hay, will balanced mouth. Med body. Highly drinkable and enjoyable.

Bottle - Lemony sourness with some grass and spice. Cloudy orange with a rich beige head. Compared to the fall, very light and drinkable. Almost too light, it goes quick.

Bottle shared at Klooster, Delft. Pours cloudy golden brown with a big off white head. Aroma of barnyard, horse blanket, tart fruits, citrus and wood.. Flavour is light sweet and moderate to heavy acidic. Very balanced in the palate with the soft sweet aspects against the sour. Full bodied with soft carbonation. Certainly the best of the seasons.

75 cl bottle @ Kaisla. BB 03/2020. hazy amber, lasting white head. Sour apples, tartness, incredible. Flavor has tartness, green apples, fruityness, looong lasting finish with green apples lingering forever. Amazing! Can’t wait to try the rest of the series.

750ml bottle pours a hazy, dark orange with some clumpy white head. Nose is bright, grapefruit rind, lemons, dandelion greens, band aids, medicine cabinet, funk, vitamin C tablets. Flavor is tart, grassy, grapefruit, blood orange, lemon-lime soda, kaffir lime leaves, light curry. Medium bodied, tart finish. Very nice.

Pours a slightly hazy orange amber color with a huge fluffy white head that persists forever. I can smell the fruity tartness as soon as I wrangle the cork off of the bottle. Smells of sweet brown sugary malt with a sharp lactic tartness that reminds me of cherries, lemons, and tangerines. A light bit of earthy funk rounds out the nose quite well. The flavor is tart and funky, but not mouth puckering in intensity. More lemons and grapefruit than cherries in the flavor along with a light sweetness and a small acid burn as each sip settles into my gullet. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a sweet tart kind of mouthfeel going on. Very nice gueze, I’m glad I got the opportunity to try it.

First rating: Nov. 10, 2012. 750mL bottle, pours a cloudy dark golden orange with a big off-white head. Aroma of dry barnyard funk, leather, dry & stale hops. Flavour is full of barnyard funk and leather, pronounced more toward peppery spiciness and is more dry. Compared to Winter, it's much spicier and dryer. Excellent gueuze, only inferior to Winter in the series. 9 4 8 4 17, 4.2 / 5
Second rating: Nov. 1, 2016. 750mL bottle, courtesy of fiulijn (thanks Alex!), pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out a lovely barnyard funk, with lots of dry leather, and a bone dry citrus quality. Flavour is bone dry, with a lovely dry wood quality, medium-high barnyard funk, a touch of citrus, and leather. Amazing depth, with a citrusy finish. Fantastic. 9 4 9 4 17, 4.3 / 5
