Bottle at Cotteridge Tasting, Saturday 24th January 2015 Light gold superbly refreshing. This is wonderfully tart the dryness remains throughout. Lovely lambic nose. Lovely zippy sourness. Superb, tastes likevyou are drinking something quite regal, this one really awakens the tastebuds. Loved it, will be hard to surpass this today, hang on there is quite a bit more left in the bottle, excellent. A8 A4 T9 P4 Ov18 4.3

(750ml bottle @ Akkurat, shared with friends Jan 4 2015) Pours hazy medium gold with a big dense white head that lingers with lace. Aroma is super fresh. Green apple, cut fresh grass, dandelion and other light spring floral notes, light lemon zest, young oak sort of wood, softly musty and earthy but more in support than dominant. Palate has the style of the nose with fresh grassy notes and that light spring floral character throughout. Apple skin, very subtle lemon/lime acidity, soft bright wood - is it young barrels? Some wheat, lightly grainy towards finish. Hop bittering in finish, quite dry, fresh dandelion greens on the aftertaste with a little wood. Light, zesty body with moderate effervescent carb. Absolutely bloody phenomenal.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a glass. Hazy golden with big white head. Aroma is tart lemon, medium body, well carbonated and good small-bubble lacing. Taste is great sour lemon. My over all favorite beer of the tasting. I preferred this to 3 Fonteinen Vintage Oude Geuze, but would have loved to try this side-by-side with Golden Blend.

Bottle at home on my lonesome, from an IP trade at Borefts ’13, 25/06/14. Very lightly hazed golden amber with a well appointed eggshell white head that retains well, carbonation evident. Nose is citric tinged straw, dry rot, dank woody notes, must, rotting apple core, funky dogs collar, dried out back of the cupboard lemon. Taste comprises tangy/tarte white grapes, musty orchard wood, bitter lemon rinds, funky, grandads shed - 3rd draw down the little damp patch, dank citric tinged straw, burnt grass. Medium bodied, fine massageing carbonation, dank orchard rinse in the close. Top draw Gueuze - great balance, great depth of flavour.

Re-rate , sampled at the source @2021. After cloding due to covid, they posted a series of cool bottles on the drink in menu, including this Lente (with the other seasons said to follow later on). unlabeled bottle, but obviosuly they should be trusted that it really is lente specifically.
Pours dark , hazed amberblonde, medium big, very creamy (!) white head. Scent is aged, after all this is a 10 ish year old bottle. It has a fresh, almost minthy, floral touch that fades away after breathing. Taste is full, mild tartness, very oaky. Fairly fullbodied, which is amazing for a geuze of this age. Very complex, woody, super balanced. very creamy mouthfeel. I enjoyed it even more and gave it a 9.4 now, so will make an avarage for this beers rating. I don't suspect this will improve even more though, right now seems to be the sweet spot to drink this whale!
