An ultra-experimental mish mash of styles. This is an oak aged Imperial Weizenbock.
A big, bold mouthfeel backed by some powerful banana and classic weizen notes, balanced by an ecclectic yet bizarrely balanced variety of hops from America (Simcoe) the Czech (Saaz) and the UK (Brambling Cross).
The beer is at 10.2% ABV and has been aged on toasted French oak chips. As close to bannoffie pie as a beer can taste. Seriously.
This beer was the brainchild of our German Lead Brewer Franz.

Botella de 37.5 cl en el momento en el kraken el 26-02-2015. botella 2615 de 9992 embotellada en 10-06-2013. color marrón muy turbio con espuma beige. Posos en suspensión en todo momento. Aromas maltosos dulces higos y uvas pasas, caramelo tostado. Cuerpo intenso con 10.2 varios l pastoso y con espuma. Sabores intensos, maltosos con caramelo tostado y frutos pasos higos y uvas con gran sensación alcohólica y regusto amargo dulce duradero por un buen rato. Una gran weizen bock con grandes aportes de maderas y alguna especia tipo vainilla del roble. Para repetir sin duda.

From tap at the Hoppy Pub, Thessaloniki, BrewDog Tap Takeover. Hazy amber orange color with off white head. Aroma is yeasty, malty, caramel, fruity - banana. Heavy sweet and light bitter taste, like aroma, sugary, banana, light alcohol. Medium, oily almost sticky body with soft carbonation.

Pours a light brown hazy color, topped with a very small beige colored head. Almost no carbonation, very flat. Malty aroma, lots of caramel notes, some spices in there too and very biscuity. Taste is sweet and very biscuity, caramel with some alcohol notes present. Some bitterness in the finish. Much too sweet and too boozy.

Bottle, 375ml corked. It’s a hazy one, dark amber in color and with a small, dense, light beige head. It’s rather boozy on the nose, with caramel hints, resin hints, a touch of banana and even more booze. Still, quite decent. The flavor is quite sweet, with a nice bitterness in the back. Toffee, banana, booze and resins. Full body, warming and softly carbonated. Lasting boozy, bitter and sweet finish. Too sweet and boozy this one, but with some qualities anyway. 141231

Pours clear brown with a few off-white bubbles. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, wheat, banana and alcohol. Taste is heavy sweet and light to medium bitter with a long warm, toffee and banana finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is flat.

Bottle 1596 of 9992, enjoyed November 14. Pours brown red, with a creamy off white head. Aroma is sweet fruity yeast, with tobacco, dark fruits, berries and tannins, as well as bread, muscovado, toffee and notes of honey and chocolate. Full creamy and silk smooth body, with almost no carbonation. Flavour is sweet dark malts, with bread, kandi, toffee, muscovado, as well as prunes, raisins and nuts.

Aroma: thick ripe fruity sweet with slight sourness. Flavour: very sweet beginning and a dry finish. Very well rounded. Ripe fruit, caramel and slight yeast. Colour: cloudy brown orange with a disapearing offwhite head.

Bottle from Systembolaget Hansa, Malmö. Hazy reddish brown with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, wheaty, caramel, banana and alcohol. Flavor is very sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet finish with warming alcohol. Oily. 291114
