330ml bottle from Beer Hawk - Black body with a small, dark tan head. Nice coffee aroma with a chocolate undertone. Very smooth on the tongue. Primary flavour is, as expected, coffee, but with a lingering chocolate note and a slight grainy taste too. Excellent.

Opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. The malt is quite light but has real flavour - coffee, bitter dark chocolate, oat cereals, ovaltine and mild smoke. Touch of roast malt bitterness and a little hop bitterness. Finishes semi dry with some malt cream. Rich malty beer.

Bottle, generously shared by the Celt guys. It pours deep ruby with a medium beige head. The nose is roasted malt, earth, cocoa, ash, dark fruit and a hint of liquorice. The taste is smooth, roasted malt, dark fruit, berry, caramel, toast, cocoa and some citrus peel with a dry, roasty finish. Medium to full body and soft carbonation. Well-rounded, balanced and very drinkable. Nice work.
