A brew to finish a day in the fields! This sparkling wine / beer hybrid perfectly balances the familiar spicy characteristics of the saison yeast and apple tartness with rich honey notes.

Keg at Craft Islington. Big aroma of apple, actually, apple fritters. Bit boozy. Saison yeasty too. Taste is initially lots of apple, but further down moved towards the boozy and typical US saison type things. Initially very nice but gets swamped by boozy not-so-excitingness and the interesting apple element is squashed. Maybe I had a bit of beer fatigue at this stage.

Key at the brewery. In effect, a sour apple beer. Very decent, nothing mind blowing.

Bit unclear, golden colored, small to no off white head, non lasting. Aroma is of some tart apple and spicy yeast, fruity notes. Taste is medium+ sweet malt and apple fruity with some brewing sugar, medium phenolic spicy bitterness with some apple tartness, bit alcohol, some yeast. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. (can from the Brewery)

Can. Nose is yeast, lemon sherbet, funk, apple. Taste is apple, funk, lemon yeast. This is probably a decent beer, but my deep engrained hatred of cider is just making me feel nautious drinking it. I can’t be objective and I can’t finish the can, all I can taste is strong bow in a cold northern park

Keg at Craft Beer Co, Islington, London. A hazy golden coloured pour with a huge white head on top. Apple, yeasty, spice aroma. Tastes much the same, apple, yeasty, spice. It is fine but there is not too much happening here to be honest.
