A black beer almost without head but that head is what there is beige and big bubbled. The nose is great, lots of dark chocolate, roastiness, also fresh fruitness and some earthyness. The barrel gives the interesting nuancess for the aroma. Taste is smooth and enjoyable, chocolate, roastiness and coffee, after beginning also fresh perry like fruitness. The body is slightly too thin as medium. Weird and also very interesting beer, chocolate and roastiness meets the vivacious fruitbarrel.

Bottle from Theatre of Wine, Greenwich. Black pour with a light tan head. Raisin, licorice toffee and dark fruit aroma. Rich flavours of blackberries, licorice, raisin and chocolate. A veritable throat warmer. Long, sweet warming finish. Perfect for the end of the evening content before bedtime beer.

Dark brown colour almost black with a beige head with short duration. Aroma is toasted malts, light coffee and spiced, notes of spiced wine (Vermouth) and Port wine. Flavor is light sweet, strong coffee and bittery in the final. Dense mouthfeel on palate.

660mL bottle, pours a deep dark mahogany with almost no head, just a few bubbles. Aroma of treacle toffee, molasses, and some light liqueurish. Flavour brings out molasses, some booze, a little liqueur, and some treacle. Almost a bit oxidized or sort of dull. Totally flat, without really any carbonation. Flavourful, but the flatness doesn't do it justice. Okay.

At a tasting, many thanks DSG, no head, very dark brown and quite opaque, aroma of calvados, woodiness, cinamon, plums amd prunes, flavouer of christmas pudding, dark bread and touch of coffee beans, quite treacly. Not as complex as expected, but still a nice sipping beer.
