Taster at the brewery. Pours an almost black with a beige head. Aroma is roasted malt and some coffee notes. Similar smooth taste. Easy drinkable and pleasant. Good.

Draught @ Big Rock. This is actually a nice porter, with chocolate and cocoa notes, and a sweetish accent. Good porter overall.

650 ml bottle. Pours black with moderate tannish head. Aromas of dry roasted malts, dry dark chocolate, and ash with maybe a hint of vanilla. Flavors follow same. Dry and dusty. More like a dry Irish Stout. Well crafted. Nice enough for another.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours black with a small tan / brown head. Nose is soft, with notes of anise, toasted malt and marshmallow. Flavour is similar, with notes of anise upfront, followed by toasted malt and some slight herbal, vegetal notes. Super smooth palate that makes this easy to drink, even though the flavours aren't so appealing. Decent.

Draught at the brewery
Black color with small compact brownish head. Mild aroma of roasted malts, and the flavor is stronger, but not burnt; the mouthfeel is nice and smooth, solid; dark chocolate too appears here, and it has a good level of bitterness.
More Stout than Porter, graciously brewed.

Draft - Dark roast and a touch of bitter chocolate. Jet black brown with a decent light brown head. Dark chocolate, light molasses notes and nutty notes. Solid.
