Bright copper with head disappearing immediately. Lightly sweet fruity nose. Tart start turns quite sour….. Not my style and a poor looking beer

Nice dark pink body with no head. Nice aroma of soft cherry, muddled, no sharpness nor sourness. Flavour is indeed a very sour cherry with crispness brought on by the carbonation. Somewhat dry finish. Not bad, okay sour fruit beer, simple.

341 ml bottle. Pours an orange mahogany with moderate head. Light aromas of oak and red berry jam. Flavors of tart dry cranberries reminiscent of a cranberry muffin. Nothing much else there. Not offensive - just overly simple. Needs the rest of the muffin...

A touch of red in the hazy amber body. Thin, sort of pink-touched head. Slightly acetic nose, with a vague cranberry. Tart, vaguely cranberry taste, just the slightest bit of sweetness in this. The little bit of added strength actually does give it a touch of residual sugar and alcohol to provide some balance. Not the greater combo - sour on sour - but good enough for one bottle, anyway.

341ml bottle. Pours a slightly hazy red-amber with a small, fizzy, short lived, beige head that fully dissipates. Sour, fruity aroma of cranberries and lacto. Sour, fruity flavour of cranberries and lacto with a dry, acidic finish. Light to medium body with a sticky texture and lively carbonation. Not much to this but still pretty decent.

Poured from the tap. Light red with pinkish head. Cranberry and a slight soapy lactic taste. A bit more sweet than tart. Still not a great sour by P49, but a huge improvement over the atrocity that was Lil Red.

Bottle from the Crossing Craft Calendar 2015
Hazy red-amber color with small frothy head. In the aroma there is some white sugar, fruit, puke, strawberry jam; earthy. Smooth mouthfeel in the front, but in the final the astringency takes in; a bit fruity, quite sour, with strong lemony character; a bit too yeasty in the final.
It doesn’t take much to b rew a sour beer like this, it’s just sour, no elegance or complexity.

Update - Draft - Bright cranberry and chweey notes. Deep clear red with a small white head. Light soured cranberry and cherry notes. Decent and an improvement. Bottle - Nice cherry and Berry notes. Cloudy Amber with a decent beige head. Acetone and cherry notes. Almost good.

330mL bottle, pours a cloudy pinkish red with a small beige head. Aroma is quite fruity, with lots of cranberries and miscellaneous red berries, with some medium tartness. Flavour is similar, bringing out very juicy and fruity tart cranberries out front that dominate the palate. Bit of a lactic quality to this, along with a gentle acidity. Much more complex on the nose than on the flavour. Decent.
