Swamp Thing Stout pays homage to our founder’s first truck that he would use to climb through the bush, high in the Monashee Mountains in search of the best mud-flinging, wheel-spinning, adreniline-filled good time. Although Swamp Thing has long since been retired, our Dry Irish Stout with its dark malts and rich flavours proudly carries on our tradition of hard work and passion projects.

At the brewery as "Irish Stout". Very dark brown. Bubbly head. Light roasty nose. Toasty, thin character but with a moderate bitterness and a vague chocolatey finish.

Draft - Nice roasty notes and a touch of chocolate. Jet black with a decent beige head. Roasty and bitter with a long finish.

On tap at Red Truck, pours black with a small brown head. Aroma brings out dry oats, some cocoa and a little roast. Flavour is along the same lines, with nicely roasted malt, oats, and dry cocoa. Quite full-bodied for a 4.5% Irish stout. Very roasted on the finish. Nice stuff.

Draught at the brewery
Black color with tan creamy head. Hoppy and roasty aroma. The mouthfeel is dry but smooth; nice roasted malt and coffee flavor that mixes well with the pungent resiny hops; strong bitterness, with a biting hop touch in the final too. I’m thinking of a lighter version of a Black IPA.
Very pleasant.
