650 ml bottle. Pours a very dark mahogany color with moderate foamy head. Aromas of dark sugars, some florals and minerals, a little dry caramel, and toasted malts. Flavors of booze, candi sugar, caramel, florals and toasted malts. Alcohol is again much too present, though more along the lines of a Quad this time.

2016. Dark brown. Thin head. Soft body, some bubblegum, little bit of toffee, sweet, and a touch of alcohol. Better than expected. Doesn't show too much age, has a respectable sense of balance.

Poured from 650mL bottle (2016 vintage green wax; thanks dad, nice try for my birthday (wax beers are generally a good choice), but I won't be surprised if this is oxidized cardboard). Dark brown with minimal beige head. Toasted caramel and toffee malt with feint dark fruits, some oxidized notes, but not as egregious as suspected. It's held up okay.

650 ml bottle. Pours a clear dark brown with no head. Aromas of dark caramel, cherries and alcohol. Flavors of dark nutty caramel, dark raisins, and brown sugar, with quite a bit of alcohol. Nice base if alcohol was checked. Leans towards a barleywine

Bottle from Brewery Creek, Vancouver
Dark brown color, no head at all. Caramel aroma, with a soapy touch that is sooo North American.Full bodied; nice caramel and malt flavor, they used a very fruity yeast, candi sugar, too much alcohol presence, just the minimal required bitterness, a bit nutty.
Nice, but it’s an American strong beer, not much Belgium here.

Bottle - Raisin, plum and nice rich dark fruit. Deep brown with a decent with a decent off white head. Some spice, tobacco and dark fruit. Decent.

Waxed bottle poured and split at Matt’s. Thanks Alex. Pours a dark ruby color with a patchy fizz head. Over ripe fruit aroma. Harsh ripe berry fruiy, grape, dark fruit. Maybe brown sugar. This was a weird blend of fruit here, and strong harsh flavor. Rough beer for me. Not my thing.

650mL bottle, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out dark fruits, caramel, some Belgian yeast and brown sugar. Flavour is fairly hot and harsh, but still quite nice, with dark fruits, caramel, Belgian yeast, brown sugar and alcohol. A little hot, but it's actually well-balanced and true to style. Very solid stuff.
