Bottle @ weekly tasting shared by Thompson. Clear dark amber to reddish color, medium sized rough off-white head that diminishes fairly quickly. Aroma is malts, some caramel. Don’t get a lot more. Taste malts, a bit dusty, sweetish. Not a lot of flavor. Thin texture, low to average body, average carbonation. Crap. Drainpour.

On tap at the Bockbier Festival in Amsterdam. Pours a clear deep amber with a tan head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has notes of spices and bread with a hint of raisins underlying. Flavor has a good amount of spice and bread with a bit of raisin coming out in the finish.

Tap @ Utrecht, medium sample. Dark color, short head. Aroma of roasted malts, licorice, slight peppery yeast. Bit bitter, bit sweet. Hint of anise. Not really a bock, but pretty tasty.
