A clear light golden pour with a medium white head. Sweet cereal aroma, with some toasted grains and hints of floral honey, and some light vanilla. The body is medium, with a good carb. The finish is slightly sweet with a distinct vanilla end. Refreshing, but bordering on too sweet.

Bottled, from LCBO, Ottawa. Clear golden, creamy head. Unsurprising aroma of honey and vanilla. Mid sweet with medium body and well rounded mouthfeel. Wheat crackers, honey, grain and vanilla. Low bitterness. Straightforward and uncomplicated, but work damn well to the silly hot chipotle chips I am torturing myself with.

Pours a clean golden-amber colour with a warm cap, pretty long lasting with some full lacing. Expecting a sweet nose, but no, some non-pleasant hops. The taste is a little better with some honey notes over the grain with the still present hops, but better blended. Mild vanilla lingers. Honey does show up near the end in the nose. Still, a little unbalanced. Not one I would try again.

Bottle: Poured a light golden color ale with a large foamy head with OK retention. Aroma of lightly wet honey notes with light cereal notes. Taste is also dominated by lightly sweet cereal notes with light honey notes. Vanilla didn’t play a huge role as I would have expected. Body is about average with good carbonation. Nothing to write home about and a notch below the other Paddle beers I tried.
