A highly bitter beer, with lots of hop flavour and aroma and a higher than average alcohol content that helps to balance the flavour and bitterness of the hops.

Poured from the tap. Clear light copper with off white head. Pine hops, touch of resin, light biscuit malt. Flavour dissipates a little on the finish.

On tap at the brewery, labelled as 6.6%. Has a very faint hops and grains aroma, I'm even inhaling it, someone send out a search party! Has weak yellowy copper body with just a bit of white foam. Flavour is soft orangey malts with remote hop hints, all rather sweet. Mouthfeel is full enough I surmpose. This is a rather boring and uninspiring IPA.

On tap Pours copper with moderate head Aromas of muddled stoned fruit, pine and sweet malts. Flavors of jammy stoned fruit, a little tropical influence and lots of sharp pine. Nice 7/4/8/4/14

On tap at Tangent Cafe, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma reveals notes of piney hops, some herbal notes, and some astringent notes. Flavour is along the same lines, with fruity piney hops and a dry biscuity malt backbone. Not very interesting for an IPA, but it's clean. Needs more oomph.

Draught at Tangent Café, Vancouver, as West Coast IPA, 12oz
Hazy light amber color with small compact head. The aroma is mild, the flavor is bolder; the malt base is somehow nice but simple; the hopping is zesty and contributes more; correct bitterness.
Balanced, clean, simplistic and undaring though.

Draft - Resin, leafy and Woody. Clear gold with a nice white head. Resin, pithy and a bit of malt sweetness. Nothing great but solid.

Hazy amber with a bubbly head. Nice big floral hop nose. Rich bitterness and a touch of chewy, floral taste. A bit cookieish, too.
