Murky dark red-brown beer. Untidy bubbly white head. Palate is smooth with very modest carbonation. Light unsweet caramel. Appley dried fruits and subtle spice. Light bitter toffee. Finishes dry with a strong bitter linger. Didn’t think much of this at all to start with but it was a modest grower. A kinda bitter late autumnal ale.

[10/6/13] Cask at CASK Pub & Kitchen in London. Clear deep amber. Aroma of farts, some malt ad light hoppiness. Sweetish flavor with malt and some bitter citric hops. Light to medium-bodied. Drinkable.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Solihull. Poured a cloudy dark amber with frothy off white head. The aroma is alcoholic and woody. The flavour is strong bitter with a liqourice alcoholic palate and a long bitter finish. I found this incredibly hard to rate but I did like it!

Bottle shared thanks to Jmgreenuk. Pours cloudy brown with a small tan head. Aroma fruits, cheesy malts, spice, pine and caramel. Flavour is light moderate sweet and over moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. A weird one.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; hazy chestnut brown pour with very thin white head, citrus and orange aroma, orange come through in the taste along with sticky pine, some caramel, bitter finish, carbonation could do with being a bit higher.
