On tap at Port Townsend, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out crackery malts, along some sweeter cereal. Flavour is dry and thirst-quenching with crackery malt and not much else. Dry and drinkable. Decent.

22 Oz bottle at a restaurant while in Port Townsend. Pours a thin see through yellow with no head on this one. Mild bready aroma. Not a whole lot of flavor going on. Super light corn flavor. The flavor that is there is t really good, and as a result, I enjoyed this beer. Light and refreshing. Pretty good.

Bottle @ Jon’s place on the 4th. Pours a hazy golden appearance with an off white head. Lemon zest, soda, dull sweetness, and herbal notes in the nose. Dull carbonation and flavor. Lightly sweet. Lemon and bread. A bit of celery. Bland and not good.

Bottle from Safeway, Port Angeles; nose is grassy hops, grain, with a little honey sweetness; Gold with a big white, longlasting head; flavor is sweet and a little wheaty; with a little tiny bit of hop bitterness. Would be a good lawnmower beer so you didn’t have to drink Bud, Miller, or Coors!

Bottle, from the shack of a fish restaurant across from the Keystone ferry terminal

Bright golden colour. Light malt-accented aroma with shades of hop. Pretty bland stuff. Flavour shows a bit of pale malt, but this doesn’t make much of an impression. When will brewers grasp that just because an ale is golden doesn’t mean it has to suck?
