Dark amber with a small white head - strong spice aroma - good malt to support a nice spicy/herbal taste - the herbla taste continues into a long finish - good

On tap at HaandFestival 2012. A dark amber colored beer topped by a creamy, finger-thick beige head. Lots of gale on the nose, some malty sweetish scents and a nutty touch. The flavor has sweet malts in the back, a light roasted and nutty touch, and some bitterness, as well as a solid dose of gale. Effervescent, yet smooth on the palate, full body. A very pleasant and tasteful one. 120504

On draft @ HaandBryggeriet Beer festival 2012. Dark reddish brown body with a thin beige head. Aroma ha dry fruity, berries, spicy, herbs and wood. A bit unusually but Nordic exotic, nice. Flavor is light malty, some fruit, hint of caramel, herbs, spices, berries, pleasant bitterness. Medium and balanced in body with a herbal/spicy aftertaste. I like the flavors of sweet gale (pors) in hard liquor and I like this beer for sure. Pleasantly strange.

On tap at Schouskjelleren. Clear amber with a dense, beige head. Heavy aroma of gale with hints of roasted malt. Reminds me a bit of Fernet Branca. Medium sweet with a nice bitterness. Medium body, slightly creamy. Quite unusual taste, but very nice. Not a beer a could drink very much of, but one glass is enough. Refreshing and more bitter than expected. (2012-06-16)

Small beige head. Hazy opaque dark red brown body. Spicy perfumy lavender aroma with fruity malty notes. Sweet roasty syrupy taste with smoky lavender notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish spicy lavender aftertaste with roasty butterscotch notes. Nice, and highly drinkable. (0.15l sample at Haand 2012.)

(Draught at Pikkulintu, 20111107) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had cough mixture and juniper needles. Palate was less than medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were juniper needles, herbs, malts, roasted malts and medium bitterness. Aftertaste was spicy and bitter. Very strange but nice - in small quantities.

Draught at Bishop’s Arms, Malmö, Gustav Adolf Torg
Beautiful red-mahogany color, with creamy head. Aroma of herbs and chocolate, weed, a bit dusty. Good body and very good caramel flavor, with rhubarb candies, light residual sweetness; strong bitterness, with a herbal touch. Actually the final is a bit harsh, it hits the back of the throat. Strange but well brewed.
