Draught. Woodsy aroma, seemed a bit much. Citrusy flavour with a caramel bit. Long finish.

Not my favourite ipa, just not a fan of the hop mixture. All a little harsh and nothing to round it off. Ecliptic portland. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle shared in CO. Cheers to the Duke! Pours unclear orange-gold with a thick, frothy off-white head. The nosebhas flora hops, orange peel. Medium sweet flavour with some graham crackers, a little grass, pine, more rindy orange. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with dry, lightly toasted pale malts, some husky grains, more citrus peel. So so.

Has a bright amber colour with a bubbly head. The aroma is earthy with caramel undertones and touch of pine. Bitter, with fairly bright c hop notes - pine citrus. Again, a balanced caramel chewiness backs this up.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out resinous and piney hops upfront, followed by toasted bready malt - standard but well-balanced on the nose. Flavour is very resinous, with lots of woody hop resins upfront, some earthy pine, and a sweet caramel malt backbone. Rather big body and heavy on the malt for a single IPA. A bit sweet, but overall nicely constructed. Great stuff.

Bottle from The Gull Liquor Store, North Vancouver
Amber color, large bubbles. As the color suggests, it has caramel and grainy qualities; it’s thin, dry, a bit metallic, and no notable hop quality.
I think the Ecliptic beers just arrived, so this shouldn’t be extra old, yet it tastes old.
