This slightly sour blonde is the result of a unique experimental combination of Brettanomyces Bruxellensis and Pediococus Cerivisae from Wyeast Laboratories.

Bottle. Ap: Semi hazy yellow. Ar: Vinous sweet and sour character. Crisp citrus touch. Fla: Kind of sweet actually (for a sour). Some oaky smokey thing going on in the aftertaste. Not very dry or funky. Fruity balanced with a nice citrus touch. Smooth. Ov: Very drinkable sour. I think that this good is really good for beginners who wants to learn to drink this kind of sour beers.

Bottle, pours golden hazy with thin white head. Aroma some tart fruits of apple/pear, funky yeast and plenty of sourness Taste, sour, lightly fruity apple/pear, champagne like yeast. Plenty of sourness but remains highly drinkable with light vinegary palate. Remidned me a lot of an overly sour apple cider.

bottle, pours gold with a thin white head that laces well. White grape, apple, and gueuze aromas. Light hay/malt and a sweet peach flavor turn sour with a vinegar, wood, and earthyness. Interesting and ends dry with a lingering oak flavor in the back of the mouth. Moderate to high carbonation. Interesting, but I’m not crazy about sours.

330 ml bottle from Liquor Max in Loveland, CO. Light fruity aroma with a hint of sour. Medium body with mild carbonation. Flavor is lightly sour with light stone fruit flavors. Seems a bit grapey. Very light funk in the finish. Quite astringent. Very pleasant.

Bottle picked up in Kobenhaven, Denmark September 2008 Pours light amber with a little light carbonation. A nicely sour beer with some nice oak and woody flavours. This actually has more than a nod to a decent cider such is the crisp dry and appley tang to this beer, but a cider mixed with other fruity flavours and yeast. A very nice beer but one that suffered from having been opened after the Hommage and as such it tended to sit in the shadow of that a little.

2007 bottle. Pours with a rocky white head covering a ever so slightly hazy golden body. Decent lacing. Aroma of apple, currant, pineapple, citrus sourness, and a bit of damp hay. Decently sour taste, but pretty fruity with pineapples and lychee. Dry mouthfeel (as per style) with slightly lively bubbles. A pretty good sour ale (to be real honest the label had me worried).

Bottle: Poured a light copper color ale with a nice pure white fizzy head with exceptional retention and great lacing. Aroma is perfectly balance between some dry hops notes and some tart yeasty notes. Taste is really well balance between some tart notes with light sour notes and a dry European hops finish. Full body with limited filtration and great carbonation. I thought this was a perfect take on a Orval type of beer and resemble what I thought Ommegang Ommegeddon should have tasted like. Re-rate (two weeks after original rating): A lot more green apple taste then what I originally remember the beer to contains. Still very good and ratings stands.
