This is a monstrous dark red ale with massive helpings of hops and malts. A robust and rich malt base is perfectly balanced with tropical citrus flavour and aroma provided by hearty helpings of citra dry hopping.
The way of the dragon is one of perfect balance between malt and hop.
Hops: Citra
Malts: Pale Ale, Cara Amber, Munich, Cara 20, Special B

650mL bottle, pours a hazy dark reddish amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of dry bready malts and some resinous hops. Flavour is a decent balanced of dry caramely bready malts and resin. Seems a bit flat and dull, but it's decently balanced.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours an opaque dark red with a small beige head. Aroma is strong, with notes of alcohol, bready caramel malt and a kick of hops. Flavour is a little jagged, but still pleasant, with notes of alcohol, bready malt and resinous hops. Very alcoholic, even for 9%. Enjoyable but not overly sophisticated.

Reddish amber. Frothy head. Has a fair bit of bitterness and orange and a touch of floral hoppiness before the alcohol kicks in too much.

Cask - Lots of sweet caramel with a touch of candy and hops. Cloudy copper with a rich beige head. Caramel, light earthy hops and a bit of vomit. Looks and smells good, falls down on taste.

650 ml bottle. Pours a mahogany color with light head. Aromas of caramel, fruit, and a bit of alcohol and soap. Flavors of fruity fresh resiny hops and doughy malts. Light bitter finish. Pretty simple. Easy to drink for the ABV.

2015-07-04, bottle from BC Liquor, 8% ABV, 7-5-7-3-14=36
Dark red-amber color with compact head. The aroma is very perfumy, flowery; malty. Good caramel flavor, a bit nutty, and plenty of resiny hops, orangey; good body strength, moderately sweet. Good.
2014-10-05, draught at St. Augustine's, Vancouver, 7.5% ABV, 8-5-7-4-15=39
Hazy dark amber color with compact head. Plenty of fruity hops in the aroma. Good body strength, round, moderately sweet, malty, caramelly, with strong bitterness and strong resiny and fruity hop character; long final.
A bit rough but very enjoyable beer.
