Our I.P.A. is a dark-blonde beer with an emphatic, hoppy flavour. I.P.A. stands for India Pale Ale, a British type of brew in which the alcohol percentage and hop recipe were boosted so that the beer would survive the long sea voyage to the colonies. This recipe turned out to be a real winner and quickly became popular.
In our I.P.A., we add hops to the beer during the maturing process as well as the brewing to produce delicious aromas of grapefruit and flowers. A beer with a fruity, bitter aftertaste that lingers for a long time.

Citrus, grapefruit, lemon zest, medicinal brett (a plus for me, in this case), unripe tropical fruit, some oxidation. Ok, I guess.

Bottle from Brewklopedia, Leicester. Dark gold, clear with a spotty white head. Blood orange and papaya notes in the scent, with touches of herbs, resin and spruce. Also a touch vegetal which takes the score down just a bit. Full bittersweet taste with lots of juicy hop, a touch phenolic. The long finish and sweet fruit-juice aftertaste are a crowning achievement for an imperfect but pretty damn good beer.

Pain in the arse finding this one on here. And what’s that artwork all about? Fucking backwards mentality, in a business that’s supposed to be forward thinking. The beer smells like old pilsner malts and tastes burnt bitter. Don’t know where I got this from, and I don’t know why I bought it!

Great label! Cream coloured fluffy head stayed on a hazy dark copper coloured body. Minimal aroma of berries & hops. Medium body. Soft on the palate, clean on the back. Dry. Spicy, peppery tastes with berries, hops & hints of malt on the long finish.

Keg at Brewdog Shepherds Bush, London. A hazy dark golden/orange coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, pine, yeasty, grapefruit on the nose. Tastes quite similar, hoppy, pine, yeasty, grapefruit with a bitter finale. Decent IPA.

33 cl bottle at taboo, 5?. Dark gold color, slight haze, big white bubbly head. Quiet smell, some resin. Aroma is Californian style IPA, caramel malt, biscuit, clean grains. Hops provides lots of resin, pine, tropical fruit, orange, citrus, light grapefruit, honey, yeast/starch’ Thick, Big body, average carbonation, slick texture. taste is complex, rather balanced, intensely bitter after an initial sugary smack. Finish dry, bitter, long, resiny, leaving a sticky leftover, quite strong light boozy. Yeast makes it overall relatively smooth. West coast style, well done, good, it has a certain weird aftertaste i cant get what it is, not disturbing tough.
