We had one thing on our mind & one thing only when we decided to make this beer.

Yeah, that’s right, you guessed it…

Sausages!

Named after, and brewed in honour of one of our favourite places in town, Bestie!

Fest beers are usually brewed to serve during Oktoberfest. (A.K.A Giant German Party Piss Up with Lederhosen), but we figured what the hell, everyday is party time at Bestie!

We wanted an easy going fest lager that would go great with the Currywurst at Bestie or which could be enjoyed on it’s own for those seeking a beer that’s simple & clean but still has a distinct character.

Amber with a bubbly head. Aroma is caramel, crackery malt. Good body. Sweet in the finish. A little fruity maybe. Ok sweet festbier.

Draft - Light grains and caramel. Hazy copper gold with a decent white head. Caramel, sweetness, light grains and a bit vegetal bitterness.

Draught at the brewery
Hazy amber color, small frothy head. Drank it slowly, gave it time to warm up a bit, and yet this beer doesn’t satisfy. Yes, it’s clean, it’s fresh, it’s flawless; but the malt flavor is lacking, the mouthfeel is a not too dry, there are shades of cereal, and very light herbaceous hop, but that is expected in a Festbier.

473mL growler, pours a hazy dull amber orange with a small white head. Nose is true to style, with bready malts, some cereal notes, and a touch of caramel. Flavour matches accordingly, with bready malt, every so slightly sweetened cereal and some dry toffee. Dry, balanced and very poundable. Well-brewed but not very interesting.
