330ml bottle. Dark brown, small beige head, moderate retention. Aroma is chocolate, sweetness, nuts, raisins, alcohol. Medium to full bodied, slick mouthfeel, carbonation starts a little fusty but then has a nice soft feel to it. Flavour is nutty, stone fruits, booze and a milk chocolate note to mellow and balance the taste. Lovely.

Bottle from Gedeelde Vreugde, Sint-Niklaas. Pours hazy brown with a slowly thinning, frothy, tan head. Aroma of prune, raisin, toffee, pistachio, mocha, milk chocolate. Taste has sweet toffee, cake, filled with dried dark fruits, sugary mocha, nutty & chocolatey backbone but restrained. Herbal-earthy hoppy finish, more toffee, warming hint of whisky. Medium body, syrupy texture, soft carbonation. Inviting winter warmer with sufficient hoppiness.

Zwart bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is warm, licht bitter en zoet met iets van hazelnoot, chocolade, ietwat koffie en karamel. Een bier om van te genieten.

Bottle at home. Dark brown colour with small golden head. Aroma is ginger, spicy, roasty malt and bit of chocolate. Taste is very malty with a spicy edge and a touch of chocolate again. Quite full bodied, and very nice.

Bottle. Pours hazy chestnut brown with big and stable beige head. Clear aroma of malt and caramel, with notes of hops and yeast and hints of nuts. Bitter flavour of hops and roasted nuts, with notes of caramel malt and yeast and mild touches of nutmeg. Bitter and estery aftertaste with nutty notes. Creamy mouthfeel. Well-balanced and really anjoyable. A very good Brown Ale!
